The naked truth.
Ben Affleck finally confirmed that he did not wear a prosthetic for his full-frontal shower scene in “Gone Girl.”
“I wore no prosthesis,” the actor divulged to Variety Wednesday. “I’ve only worn one in one film, ‘Hollywoodland.’ It was a nose.”
“Gone Girl” (2014) is a psychological thriller film directed by David Fincher and written by Gillian Flynn, based on her 2012 novel.
Affleck played Nick Dunne, a writing teacher who becomes the prime suspect following the disappearance of his wife, Amy (Rosamund Pike), in Missouri.
Amid the onscreen drama, Affleck’s character stripped down for a steamy shower scene.
The Oscar winner has previously spoken about Fincher’s approach to filming the nude scene.
While accepting an award for “Gone Girl” at the 2014 Hollywood Film Awards, he joked that the director had initially assured him the camera would not reveal too much.
“David assured me — because trust is essential with directors and actors — ‘Listen, if we tilt down, we’ll never go far enough to see anything,’” Affleck said at the time.

He also joked about the conditions on set, saying, “I’d like to thank you for keeping the set cool,” before adding, “If you’re gonna have one chance for America to see your junk, you want it to be cold.”
His ex-wife Jennifer Garner, who he was still with at the time of the film’s release, also poked fun at his nude scene in 2014.
“What I have to say is, ‘You’re welcome,’” Garner, now 54, quipped on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.”
“I just try to consider myself a charitable person and I wanted to give back. You give me so much, I wanted to give something back to all of you.”
Earlier this month, Affleck reflected on the critically acclaimed film over a decade after its release, telling Letterboxd, “I was willing to do anything for [Fincher], like, be naked.”
“Working with David was the great privilege of my life,” Affleck gushed. “He’s one of the absolute greatest filmmakers ever to live.”
