The Indianapolis Colts are gearing up for a shot at redemption this season after a tough end to the 2025 campaign, and tight end Tyler Warren will be a key part of that endeavor.

The second-year player had a strong rookie season, with 817 receiving yards on 76 catches, including four touchdowns.

That was good enough to be named a Pro-Bowler, but Warren told Judy Battista and Maurice Jones-Drew of NFL Network that he's primed for an even better season this year.

A lot of that, he explained, is due to the experience he gained last year, which he's been able to put to use in training camp this summer.

"I think that especially being back in the same offense, with a lot of the same guys, is really nice from a player's perspective," he said. "Just not learning stuff every day, it's a lot of review and picking up where you left off last year. It's been a little more comfortable and getting better not figuring out everything as a rookie."

Warren's preparation might be about to meet opportunity, as the Colts will be without one of their leading receivers from last season: Michael Pittman Jr.

While Alec Pierce led the team with 1,003 yards, Pittman had the most catches with 80 and receiving touchdowns with seven.

Warren, whose 76 catches were second on the team, and his teammates now have to make up for that lost production.

"Playing tight end, being able to do everything is a big part of it," he said. "Also, with Pittman gone, he was a huge part of our offense. So there is a lot of opportunity for really everybody on our offense to open up more roles and get more touches. I'm excited about that. We have got a lot of weapons on offense, so I'm excited to see how everybody gets the ball this year."
