The Cornell University student who accused seven fraternity brothers of drugging and raping her first reported it after seeing online posts bragging about the Chi Phi brothers “gang banging,” according to disturbing records.
The young student, only identified as Jane Doe, was initially “in shock” but hopeful that she had a consensual threesome — until the messages online made her realize she’d been “assaulted,” according to newly revealed documents that contained some of the sickening posts in a forum about Greek life.
“Are Chi Phi brothers Crips or Bloods because I hear they have been doing hell Gang Banging?” read a key post she cited to cops, according to a review of the docs by the New York Times.
“They do drugs and gang r*ped a sophomore,” another user wrote. “Report them.”
The young woman cited the posts as pivotal to her reassessing what had really happened to her at the Chi Phi fraternity house in October 2024, the docs show.

Obtained by NY Post“That’s the first time I had ever heard the narrative change that I wasn’t a whore and that I was assaulted,” Doe, who was 20 at the time, told investigators, according to documents from a university review of the accusations obtained by the Times.
“I was a sex doll for all intents and purposes, which is sad,” she added.
She did a rape kit days later and reported the night of terror to campus police with her friends’ encouragement in November 2025, according to the lawsuit Doe filed against the seven defendants on Sept. 16, which brought the case national attention.
She told the doctor she contacted a UTI in “a traumatic way” — but the doctor “didn’t really follow up on that,” Jane Doe told investigators. “She just suggested I go to therapy.”
Friends also told cops that the student was too “in shock” to accept what had happened and was “not really understanding the gravity of what she” was initially thought happened, the docs showed.
“I could tell that — just from personal experiences — that what she was going through is that she had not yet processed what had happened,” her “big sister” mentor told investigators.
“I think she wanted it to be consensual,” one of her roommates told investigators.
“I’d have conversations and she would describe a part of what happened and I would tell her that that is what could be classified as rape.”
Jane Doe’s 101-page lawsuit claims the men loosened her up with alcohol and ketamine to a point beyond consent and then subjected her to an hours-long sexual assault at the Chi Phi house.
A brother she was crushing on pressured her while she was intoxicated into a threesome that descended into a revolving door of fraternity members entering an upstairs room, snorting lines of ketamine off of her body and having sex with her, according to the lawsuit.

Meanwhile, a call had allegedly been sent out on a fraternity Snapchat group called “Chi Phi Actives,” grossly advertising there was “free p–sy” in the house.
Doe filed a criminal complaint with police, but Tomkins County District Attorney Matthew Van Houten said his office declined to bring criminal charges against the fraternity brothers because there was not sufficient evidence to do so.
Van Houten, facing massive backlash, claimed on Monday all had received was a signed statement submitted by campus police that “did not allege that she was drugged against her will or gang-raped.”
However, Doe met with campus police and a Title IX investigator to discuss the incident, which she’d become increasingly alarmed by in the three weeks since, telling them “I can say with 100% confidence I was raped,” according to a transcript released this week.
“It was coercion,” read another line from the transcript, obtained by CBS News, along with descriptions of Doe saying she was “completely and totally incapacitated” during the encounter.
New York Governor Kathy Hochul appointed Attorney General Letitia James special prosecutor oto take over the investigation, claiming she had no confidence in Van Houten after new reporting revealed discrepancies in what the DA said the survivor originally reported.
At least two brothers were later revealed to have been expelled over the incident, while the others were apparently allowed to finish their studies.
Attorneys representing at least three of the accused men denied any criminal wrongdoing, while others have not yet made public statements, according to the Times.
