“As consumers have moved away from logo-heavy luxury, they still want to communicate an expensive, high-end taste level. Croc bags give this aesthetic,” celebrity stylist Samantha Brown explained.

Brown pointed out how crocodile patterns add visual interest to an outfit.

“The key is mixing unexpected elements like a croc bag in rich burgundy or olive green with something sporty like track pants or suede drivers,” Brown suggested. “The beauty is the off-beat mash-up of many different styles.”

The downside: some of these designs cost thousands upon thousands of dollars, with some smaller silhouettes even exceeding $7,000.
