The Los Angeles Rams fell to 2-4 on Sunday, losing at home to the Arizona Cardinals, 18-16. That was bad.

Then came the news that they lost future Hall of Fame receiver Davante Adams for 6-10 weeks with a hamstring injury.

That was especially bad.

But things only got worse.

The Rams’ defensive line is now in a dire spot.

Rams head coach Sean McVay revealed two brutal injury updates on Tuesday: defensive tackle Poona Ford has ruptured his triceps and will miss the rest of the season, and defensive end Kobie Turner will miss the next 4-6 weeks with a groin injury, The California Post’s Michael Duarte has learned.

Yet, as bad as losing Adams is, those who have watched the Rams this season know how critical with Ford and Turner have been to the team’s defense through their first six games.

And the Rams’ defensive line had already been decimated by injuries. Superstar edge rusher Myles Garrett has missed the past five games with a knee issue and doesn’t have a clear return timeline.

Plus, Aaron Donald missed a week with a back injury earlier in the year. He is also still working his way back from a two-year retirement.

Garrett has already been ruled out for the Rams’ Week 7 game against the Las Vegas Raiders.

With him still out of action and both Ford and Turner missing significant amounts of time, Los Angeles might need to seek outside help to address their deficient line.

Ford has six solo tackles this season and is one of Los Angeles’ most important players when stopping the run. Turner has been all over the field this season, tallying seven solo tackles, 15 assisted tackles, and two passes defensed.
