Rays vs Brewers, Saturday, Oct. 24, 2026, at 8:00 ET | American Family Field, Milwaukee, WI | FOX

The Milwaukee Brewers are up 1-0 on the Tampa Bay Rays, but it wasn’t an easy victory. The Brewers jumped out to an early lead, taking a 2-0 lead after one inning. And even though they had the early lead, they didn’t relinquish it. The Rays kept pressure, making it a 2-1 game and a 3-2 game before it ended.

It almost was a storybook with the Brewers taking a lead in the bottom of the first inning. They got to the Rays’ starter, Nick Martinez. In the first inning, Christian Yelich hit an RBI triple, then the catcher, William Contreras, hit a single to score the second run of the game for the Brew Crew. Jacob Misiorowski pitched well enough to keep Tampa in check, but it never felt overly comfortable.

Tampa scored a run, but even getting within in run wasn’t really enough for the Rays. This felt like a game they walked into knowing they were unlikely to win, but if it happened to work out, they would be happy. After making it 2-1, the Brewers ran their lead to 3-1.

In the top of the ninth, the last chance for the Rays, they had the winning run at the plate with one out. The hitter, Junior Caminero, was the best hitter for the Rays. was up with a chance to tie or take the lead. He ended up getting walked. The next hitter grounded into a game ending double-play, but the call was reversed, and the game went one more hitter for a 3-2 game.

The extra life didn’t matter for the Rays as the Brewers closed it out. What will we have happen tonight? Fanatics is offering new users a chance to make the call by wagering $20 to receive $350 in FanCash using promo code FOXNEWS350.
