Cole Sprouse hung up the phone on twin brother Dylan Sprouse after learning they are “children of incest.”
“I called Cole. I was like, ‘Dude, I just found out some f—ing crazy s–t,'” Dylan said on Tuesday’s episode of the “Wildmen Podcast.”
“And I sent him a picture, and he goes, ‘Not looking at that.’ Closed it. Hung up on me,'” the “Under Fire” actor added.
Dylan, 34, revealed on the podcast how he used the genealogy program Ancestry to discover that both sides of his and Cole’s family joined together by marriage during the Gold Rush in California in the 1800s.
“Then they diverged, and then they married again [through] my mom and my dad,” Dylan shared.
The Disney Channel alum explained that he “started to get suspicious” about his family tree after finding out that his father’s uncles were identical twins.

“I’d only ever thought that identical twins or twins in general came from my mom’s side of the family. We had seven sets of twins in four generations. Which is crazy,” he said. “And the reason we have a lot of twins is because it’s the same family!”
Dylan detailed another wild fact about his family history.
“One of my aunts was a twin, but she was one of the twins who ate her twin in the womb, and when they cut open a cyst in her shoulder, it had teeth and hair,” he said.
Dylan and Cole’s parents are Matthew Sprouse and Melanie Wright, who divorced by the time the twins were two years old.
Melanie got Dylan and Cole into acting, but after she used a majority of their early earnings for herself, Matthew was granted sole custody of the boys, who cut Melanie out of their life.
“My mother was an incredibly wonderful and artistic woman, but she was financially the most irresponsible woman ever,” Cole said on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast in 2023.
The “Riverdale” actor confirmed the twins are still estranged from Melanie, which he called “the greatest wound in my life.”
Dylan, for his part, expanded his family when he and his wife, Victoria’s Secret Angel model Barbara Palvin, welcomed their first child, a daughter named Sylvie, on September 7.
Dylan recently told E! News what surprised him the most about fatherhood.
”How desensitized I am now to bodily fluids,” he joked. “That’s just having a baby, I guess.”
