Slow it down for a minute Pat.

Milwaukee Brewers manager Pat Murphy was doing a live interview with Tom Verducci of Fox Sports in Game 3 of the NLDS against the San Diego Padres and had a hot mic moment he’ll never forget.

Just after Sal Frelick hit a line drive that looked like it was going to be for extra bases, Padres center fielder Jackson Merrill snatched that thought away.

Merrill was on a full sprint out in center field and ended up making a sliding catch to stop Frelick in his tracks.

In the middle of the interview, Murphy told Frelick the team has “been a little antsy. I think we’ve been playing some good…” only to be interupted by Frelick’s hit.

“Get it in the gap, Sal. God dammit, Merrill.”

Immediately after Murphy slipped up, the Fox broadcast crew cut him off from the interview, but left everyone in the broadcast booth laughing, as it will likely go down as one of the all-time great mid-game interviews in baseball.

For Murphy, that moment was likely not the only time Merrill would upset him as San Diego tacked on two runs in the bottom half of the inning.

Fernando Tatis Jr. got the first RBI of the inning after he grounded out, but it was enough to bring in Samad Taylor to score.

Merrill came up in the next at-bat and hit a single to center, then stole second right after.

Manny Machado would bring in Merrill from second following a line drive that was hit towards left field.

Milwaukee would eventually tie the game at 2-2.
