Jalen Brunson went viral for a hilarious moment at Donovan Mitchell and Coco Jones' wedding earlier this month, and now the New York Knicks captain is sharing what he really thinks about the popular meme.

Mitchell and Jones said "I do" on Aug. 1, and during the reception, Philadelphia 76ers player Jaylen Brown recorded Brunson from across the dance floor, two-stepping side-to-side with a smirk on his face.

The moment immediately went viral, with fans taking the video and adding several of their own responses to various situations.

A little over a week after the wedding, Brunson is now speaking out about how he feels about the meme. In a post on the NBA's official Instagram, he explained that he was shocked that the moment went viral.

Brunson then shared that his favorite meme that he laughed at was when they used the video and a fan added, "when you're up 29, and you see me."

The meme was in reference to when the Knicks trailed by 29 points during Game 4 of the NBA Finals against the San Antonio Spurs. They would go on to win 107-106 with a tip-in by OG Anunoby with 1.2 seconds left.

Donovan Mitchell and Coco Jones' Wedding

Mitchell and Jones got married in Greenwich, Connecticut, on Aug. 1. The couple started dating in 2023, and the NBA star proposed last year. According to a video from the wedding, the two danced to Musiq Soulchild's "Love" on the dance floor.

The Cleveland Cavaliers star and Grammy-winning singer had several athletes invited to their special day, including Brown, Brunson, the Knicks' Josh Hart, and the Miami Heat's Bam Adebayo. 

They have yet to share official photos, but the two went viral for their honeymoon workout.

When Will The Knicks Play Next?

The defending NBA champions will begin the 2026-2027 season with a matchup against the Philadelphia 76ers. Before the start of the game, the Knicks stars will receive their championship ring, and the banner dedicated to their historic NBA championship win after 53 years will be hung.

The game will be a special match not only for the Knicks getting the physical memorabilia for their championship win, but also for LeBron James making his debut with the 76ers. The NBA superstar confirmed he was joining the team last month after eight seasons with the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Knicks and 76ers matchup will be on Oct. 20 at 7 p.m. ET at Madison Square Garden.
