Priyanka Chopra Shares Rare Photo of Her and Nick Jonas' Daughter Malti
Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas gave fans a rare glimpse into their family life with a series of photos and a video from their latest visit to India.
Like most couples in the limelight, Chopra, 41, and Jonas, 31, tend to protect the privacy of their 2-year-old daughter Malti Marie, so it's safe to say fans were elated to catch this glimpse into the couple's personal life. "Blessings for the little one and the family," Chopra captioned the post, which also featured her mother, Madhu.
In the Instagram carousel, the actress dressed in a yellow sari, while Malti Marie stole the spotlight in a peachy pink ensemble with a matching head wrap. Dad Jonas kept it slightly simpler with a traditional off-white outfit embellished with floral details as they explored around the city. One of the photos captures a heartfelt visit to Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, where Chopra encourages Malti to say "Ayodhya," and the toddler echoes her.
This isn't Malti's first trip to India, either. The little one had her first visit with her parents back in April 2023 that included a visit to Mumbai's Siddhivinayak Temple which Chopra shared on Instagram.
Though the couple enjoys documenting these experiences, they've been cautious about sharing their toddler's face online. Chopra, in particular, waited until Malti was 13 months old before showing her face on social media. "I've been really protective of this chapter of my life with my daughter," she stated in a January 2023 interview with British Vogue. The mother went on to express her protective nature over this aspect of her life, emphasizing it's Malti's life too, not just hers.
The Quantico actress also reflected on how motherhood has instilled a "sense of calm" and a newfound purpose in her life in the same interview. After two decades of relentless work acting, motherhood has provided her with a focal point, influencing every decision she makes with her daughter in mind. "It's been 20 years of hustling and working at breakneck speed. I've always been like, 'What's the next thing?' But now I feel I have a center, a sense of calm, because every decision ends up being about her."
