As much as they love the access, Los Angeles Chargers fans might not want cameras at practice anymore after seeing what nearly happened to Justin Herbert on Monday.

ESPN’s Kris Rhim posted a video that showed the Chargers’ star quarterback preparing to start a drill. As soon as he mimicked a snap from under center and began dropping back, a cameraman wearing a bucket ran right past him, seemingly inches away.

Luckily, several people saw that Herbert and the cameraman were on a collision course and said “Heads up!” soon enough to where Herbert stopped the drill as the cameraman swerved away.

If Herbert was annoyed about what happened, he did a decent job of not showing it. He looked back downfield after avoiding the collision, seemingly to see whether any receivers were still running routes, before shutting the rep down and tossing the ball back to his coach.

The video is going viral, and Chargers fans are enraged with how close this cameraman came to their beloved quarterback.

Many other comments noted that someone said, “That’s your only warning!” at the end of the video, presumably telling the cameraman he was one more mishap away from facing serious consequences.

Chargers fans and the cameraman can breathe easy knowing that Herbert escapes harm during Monday’s practice.
