Alexia Umansky revealed she was sexually assaulted seven years ago — and told her dad, Mauricio Umansky, about the traumatic experience for the first time on camera during “Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test.”
During Thursday’s episode of the Fox reality series, Alexia, 30, explained to the directing staff (DS) what motivated her to join the competition, saying she wanted to prove her courage “after what happened” to her, according to Us Weekly.
When asked to share more about her experience, Alexia recalled, “Seven years ago, I was on a trip with some friends, and I was with people I trust. I was put to bed because I had a little too much to drink, and I woke up and I could tell something had happened.”
Alexia went on to explain that she “didn’t even have the power or consciousness to say no” to her assaulter.
“I felt completely objectified, and I had a lot of pain and anger because of that,” she continued. “At the one-year mark, I decided that happiness is a choice, and I was going to choose to put it away. But it still hurts.”
In a confessional, Alexia revealed that she had never told her family about being “taken advantage of.”
“When you bring other people into it, it just becomes more of a conversation. And maybe a conversation was what I needed, but I just wasn’t ready,” she said.
Alexia eventually opened up to Mauricio, 56, about the assault in front of the other recruits.
“You don’t know [this]. I was taken advantage of by a friend,” Alexia told her dad. “You guys not knowing is not anything I ever wanted you to know, but I kind of wanted to protect you guys from [it].”

Mauricio appeared confused about why Alexia felt the need to protect her family from what had happened.
She explained, “Once you bring it to other people, it’s hard to … it’s not just yours. I feel like it’s not just your own concern, you know? It just becomes everyone else’s concern. But I have definitely healed. I’ve come a long way since then.”
Mauricio told his daughter he loved her, while fellow recruit Candace Cameron Bure thanked Alexia for sharing her story and Maxim Naumov called her revelation “so f–king powerful,” according to People.
Mauricio shares Alexia with his estranged wife, Kyle Richards, as well as their daughters Sophia, 26, and Portia, 18. Richards is also the mother of Farrah Aldjufrie, 37, whom she shares with her ex-husband, Guraish Aldjufrie.
Richards, 57, previously told Page Six’s “Virtual Reali-Tea” that she was “not happy” about Alexia joining “Special Forces,” joking, “My first thought was, ‘I’m going to kill you, Mauricio.'”
“I was so worried about Alexia,” the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star said. “I knew that [Mauricio] would do well or whatever, but I was really worried about my daughter, and I didn’t like that she got sucked into that.”
