Ruby Rose has sensationally recalled a moment in her teenage years when she was accused of murdering a little boy who died in a horrific accident.
In her first-ever podcast interview, the Aussie actress opened up about the shock event that left her traumatized and being questioned by police.
Speaking on the Off the Vine podcast with Kaitlyn Bristowe, Rose, 40, explained that she was at a social gathering with her mom and family friends at a house in bushland when she discovered a four-year-old boy injured in a nearby playground.
Rose, who was 15 at the time, said she was smoking her first ever cigarette with a friend outside by the play equipment when she thought she saw a doll on the playground slide.
“My friend and I locked eyes and we started walking towards it. As we got close enough, we could tell this was a real human,” Rose said.
“There was blood coming out of his ear, nose, mouth. It was very traumatic.”
The actress said she picked up the child and brought him inside the house where the adults started performing CPR on him.

Rose thought she had saved the boy’s life as he was still breathing when an ambulance arrived and took him to the hospital.
“I got a call saying that he probably wouldn’t be okay, that they were keeping him on a machine and it didn’t look great. I just sent love to the family,” Rose recalled.
Because he “was brain dead for so long”, the actress said doctors pulled him off life support and unfortunately he didn’t make it.
Just one day later, police showed up at Rose’s high school to question her over the death, during which the teen had accusations thrown her way.
“People were like, ‘Baby killer!’ I was breaking down,” she said.
Rose went on to explain that the child’s older brother, who witnessed the death, had suffered “dissociative amnesia” following the incident.
He was soon able to recover his memories and told police the death had been a tragic accident.
“He went back to the police and thank goodness told them, because they didn’t think it was me anyway, but that doesn’t always happen,” she said.
“He remembered and I was cleared, but [the child’s mother] still didn’t want me at the funeral. So everyone went except me.”
Rose would later go on to become an actress and move to Hollywood in 2013.
She skyrocketed to fame in films such as Pitch Perfect 3, John Wick: Chapter 2, Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, and xXx: Return of Xander Cage.
But after suffering a spinal injury on the set of the CW series, Batwoman, on which she played the titular role, she retreated from the spotlight and now leads a quieter life in rural Victoria.
