Tennessee Volunteers' linebacker commit Kenneth Simon II is by far one of the more gifted defensive players in the class. He was just one of the three commits in the class of 2027 during the Brentwood Academy vs. Baylor High School game on Thursday.

Following the contest, the extremely talented four-star linebacker caught up with Vols On SI to provide some key updates.

"Yeah, I am definitely at peace with it. I am shutdown, I don't talk to any other schools. I am at peace with it, and I know I have fun being able to go play the game I love," Simon II said when speaking to Vols On SI following the Baylor vs. Brentwood Academy game.

The talented prospect was able to play against some of the best players in the country. This includes David Gabriel-Georges, whom he spoke about in particular.

"Yeah, I mean, my goal is always to compete against the best people in the country, and you see it from how he plays. He is legit. He is one of the best to probably play high school football, but he is legit, so it is fun to go against him, and just go show both of our talents on the field," Simon II said.

Kenneth Simon II Talks Brotherhood With Kesean Bowman

Simon II is teammates with a fellow Tennessee commit. That commit is Kesean Bowman, who is becoming a top player in the state of Tennessee, and especially at the wide receiver position. Simon II would detail how he is friends with Bowman, and he is looking forward to being teammates with Bowman moving forward.

"Kesean (Bowman) used to live in Knoxville for two years, and that is where I was originally from. He was at (Knoxville) Catholic, so, we already know each other from living back at home. So, when I came down here I was able to be with one of my friends. It's good knowing that I will be able to go there and not have too much of a change, but just gong and competing, while being able to be successful in life with one of my bestfriends," Simon II said.

He would then quickly detail how he is excited.

"Yeah, definitely excited. That's my brother. I have spent most of my time with him on a weekly basis, so nothing is going to change," Simon II said.

Next, Simon II would detail some good news for Tennessee football fans. That, of course, is that he has plenty of visit opportunities.

"I plan to be there every game, as much as I can. I am going to try to make it to every game, because it's not too far," Simon II said.

For those who don't know, Simon II is a legacy commit because his dad, Kevin Simon, used to play at the University of Tennessee. The son of the former Vol wants to build his own legacy, but also carry his last name's legacy on. He detailed what his dad has said to him already.

"Yeah, carry it on. He don't tell me too much. But, for myself, I am going to carry it on. I am going to go be great. I am going to create my own legacy, but I can't wait to get out there," Simon II said.

If you think Simon II and DGG wouldn't have some things to say when hitting each other, you were mistaken. Simon II detailed a hilarious moment during the game.

"I hit him one time, and he came up laughing. He told me that I was going low. You know, he was 220 pounds running a 4.3, and we are at the three-yard-line and we are hitting each other, but I mean it's always fun going out and competing. I am glad I got to come out here to play against some of the best in the country, I was glad to come out here and compete and show my talents too," Simon II said.

Kenneth Simon II Talks Biggest Improvements

Simon II has improved a ton throughout the offseason, but where has he improved the most? He detailed the most improved areas of his game to conclude the interview.

"Playing in the box is different than playing outside, which is what I did last year. Also my weight has gone up. I am weighing like 212 right now. Last year I was weighing like 190. Taking on blocks and shedding blocks. Everything physically," Simon II said.
