The news is true: after four years in business, The Outset, Scarlett Johansson’s clean, sensitive skin-friendly skin care line, is officially closing. The announcement came via the brand’s website on Monday, where a message sharing the news was posted to the homepage.

Although the brand says all existing orders will still be fulfilled, online ordering has ended, leaving thousands of customers looking for sensitive skin alternatives. Below, I’ve gathered some of our favorite skin care products for sensitive skin, including cleansers, moisturizers and serums, to ease you through the transition of the brand’s shuttering.

Below are a few of our staff’s favorite products for sensitive skin, all of which have been tried, tested and approved by NBC Selected editors.

This cleanser’s gentle formula is made specifically for dry skin, and includes niacinamide to help soothe and ceramides for maximum hydration, all without stripping your skin, according to the brand. NBC Selected editorial director Lauren Swanson says it’s a “reset button” for her extremely sensitive skin, and that it leaves her complexion feeling “calm, hydrated and quietly relieved.”

Paula’s Choice is one of my all-time favorite skin care brands, and this exfoliant is a must-have in my bathroom cabinet. It includes niacinamide and BHAs to help keep skin smooth and reduce dullness, and works well on all skin types. I personally love that it doesn’t have a scent or leave residue, and can be used multiple times a day (without any irritation).

NBC Selected commerce editor, Mili Godio, tested these pads for our Medicube brand guide and loves that they don’t irritate her sensitive, rosacea-prone skin. The pads help to gently polish away dead skin and improve skin texture, with a formula that includes exfoliating PHAs, along with hyaluronic acid and panthenol to help lock in moisture, according to the brand.

I’ve tried tons of serums over the years, and this one easily makes the top of my list. It has a thick, milky texture that glides onto the skin smoothly, yet still absorbs quickly enough that I can follow up with another product after less than two minutes. Rice ceramides help to hydrate and strengthen the skin barrier, while panthenol soothes any irritation (perfect for following up after a harsher exfoliant).

This moisturizer has multiple fans on the NBC Selected staff for its rich, extremely hydrating formula. It includes hydrating ceramides and squalane to strengthen the skin’s barrier, and hydrates for up to 72 hours, according to the brand. NBC Selected reporter Zoe Malin, who uses it almost daily (and as a night cream), says it has a cooling, soothing feel that’s refreshing on her skin. It’s also noncomedogenic, so it won’t clog your pores or irritate your skin, according to the brand.

Whenever I’m on vacation in sunnier, warmer climates, this spray is right there with me. Hypochlorous acid is great for soothing irritation, which makes this the ideal balm for overheated skin that’s been soaking up the sun. It’s also great for soothing inflamed pimples or cuts, and I love that it comes in a smaller size that fits easily into my beach bag.
