Travis Kelce got to play the role of hometown fan in what was a solo night out on Saturday.
The star Chiefs tight end made an appearance at Progressive Field for the decisive ALDS Game 5 between the Guardians and White Sox, in which he witnessed an impressive series comeback and 2-0 Cleveland victory in Game 5 after they dropped the first two games.
Kelce, who owns a minority stake in the team as of May this year, was spotted in a suite on the broadcast among friends and fellow Guardians fans. He also at one point appeared in a field-level viewing area.
He watched as starter Gavin Williams racked up 12 strikeouts out of what was a record 21 by the Cleveland pitchers. The three-time Super Bowl champ also went wild when José Ramírez hit a two-run, go-head home run in the fourth inning that sent the home crowd into hysterics.
As the ball was hit off of Ramírez’s bat, Kelce and his row of friends stood up in anticipation.
After the ball was out of the park, an ecstatic Kelce jumped up and down, hugged and high-fived friends, and pumped his fist in the air in celebration.
Later on, the 37-year-old was brought down to the dugout level of the field and after the win he sported a Guardian’s “Taste October” postseason gray shirt.
Donovan Mitchell was also spotted among the crowd.
However, “Cleveland” singer and wife of Kelce, Taylor Swift, did not make the trip after the couple had a date night in New York on Friday.
Per Page Six, the two grabbed dinner at Old Rose inside The Jane Hotel.
Yet, the restaurant is listed as permanently closed on Yelp.
Celebrity gossip account DeuxMoi suggested that Kelce and Swift rather may have been inside the members-only club San Vicente.
The couple tied the knot at Madison Square Garden on July 3 in front of over 1,000 guests in what was an exclusive and major wedding bash.
While the Chiefs are on their bye week, Kelce could travel to Florida for the start of the ALCS series on Monday against the Tampa Bay Rays.
The 4-0 Chiefs will host the Chargers at Arrowhead Stadium in Week 6.
