A family man. While Tristan Thompson's personal life has often raised eyebrows, the NBA player is also a devoted father, brother and son. The athlete's late mom, Andrea Thompson, reflected on the inspiration behind her eldest son’s work ethic in a 2011 piece for the Toronto Star. “Trevor is a truck driver. In 2011, Andrea wrote a piece for the Toronto Star about raising her ambitious son. "It was fun, really," she said of going to Tristan's youth basketball tournaments before her went pro. "We went all over the place to watch him play. I would take off work three days at a time, losing money I didn’t have, but you have to support your kids."

Though Tristan's Instagram account often featured photos of his mom, his dad appears less frequently. Andrea revealed to the Toronto Star in 2011 that Trevor made a living as a truck driver.

She added: "Trevor and I took the kids all over the U.S. for AAU tournaments and many times we were the only parents. You can’t leave your kids to other people."

Daniel is Tristan's second younger brother. In a 2020 Mother’s Day tribute, the power forward recalled witnessing a special moment between Andrea and Daniel while en route to a tournament.

Maralee Nichols sued Tristan for child support after claiming he got her pregnant in early 2021 while he was still dating Kardashian. (The on-off couple called it quits later that year.) Us Weekly broke the news in December 2021 that Nicols gave birth to son Theo.

In January 2022, Tristan confirmed his paternity after taking a DNA test. “Today, paternity test results reveal that I fathered a child with Maralee Nichols. I take full responsibility for my actions,” the former Sacramento Kings playe wrote via his Instagram Stories at the time. “Now that paternity has been established I look forward to amicably raising our son.”

Tristan and Kardashian have yet to reveal the name of their baby boy, whom they welcomed via surrogate in July 2022. The then-couple did the embryo transfer in November 2021 before news broke of Tristan’s paternity suit.

Following their son's arrival, a source exclusively told Us: “Khloé and Tristan are coparenting, but not speaking [outside] of coparenting, that is the only communication they have anymore.
