Saturday's college football slate is headlined by two SEC matchups that are some of the best rivalries in the sport - but that doesn't mean there aren't eyebrow-raising plays elsewhere.

Tulsa visited Navy on Saturday, and the Golden Hurricane scored a touchdown that nobody could have drawn up.

Quarterback Baylor Hayes tossed a backwards pass to wide receiver Oran Singleton Jr., who was stuffed roughly seven yards behind the line of scrimmage.

However, he managed to escape a tackle and throw a floating prayer into coverage. But one of his fellow pass-catchers made an improbable rescue.

David Wells Jr. (not related to the former pitcher) tipped the ball backward to himself outside of the end zone, caught it, and then scampered back in for the score.

That wasn't the only action Singleton got - he would catch a touchdown of his own later on to give Tulsa a 26-14 lead early in the second half.

It has not been a pleasant season for the Midshipmen, who were nationally ranked and won the Commander-in-Chief's Trophy by defeating both Air Force and Army last year. Navy also won the Liberty Bowl to complete an 11-2 season.
