From Hilary Duff going back on tour to Gap relaunching fragrances, Y2K flashbacks are practically everywhere right now.
And Old Navy is the latest brand hopping on the trend. The iconic mall brand launched a beauty line last month comprised of seven nostalgia-heavy fragrances — each available as a body and hair mist, body wash or body lotion.
When we found out the line was developed by perfumer Jérôme Epinette, who created iconic scents like Byredo Gypsy Water and Sol de Janeiro Cheirosa ’62, we were eager to get our hands on the bottles. After all, at just $15 a pop, they’re far less expensive than any designer fragrance.
“I wanted to bring a sense of luxury to a more mass-market brand, to bring my love for beautiful ingredients into something accessible that could touch a lot of consumers,” Epinette told Bustle.
Below, we put the seven fragrances to the test in our office to find out which ones are worth adding to cart.
Floral Sweet
