An employee was gunned down behind the counter of a Brooklyn restaurant in a brazen early Sunday shooting that left another man wounded, according to authorities and sources.

The 44-year-old victim was discovered with a fatal gunshot wound to his head, while a 39-year-old man took a bullet to his right leg in the possible robbery, cops and sources said.

Police uncovered the grim scene while responding to an assault in progress at America’s Best Wings and Pizza on Rockaway Avenue in Brownsville just after midnight, according to the NYPD.

Both victims were rushed to local hospitals, where the 44-year-old unidentified man was pronounced dead. The 39-year-old man is listed in stable condition, police added.

It’s not yet known whether the shooter managed to steal anything, sources added.

No arrests have been made, and an investigation remains ongoing.
