Buckle up, 2000s kids, Wuhu Island is back, and it might just be better than ever.

When I was a little girl, I spent every evening traveling to Wuhu Island on my Wii, playing everything from cycling to skydiving. My favorite time, though, was waiting for my dad to get home after work and then spending hours playing archery with him. There was something special about bonding with my dad over a game of fake archery.

Of course, a couple of years later, my Wii stopped working, and that was that. We never really gamed together again. Now, our favorite activity has finally made a comeback with the new Nintendo Switch Sports Resort.

Nintendo Switch 2 + Nintendo Switch Sports Resort Bundle

For a limited time, you can shop the Nintendo Switch 2 bundled with Nintendo Switch Sports Resort, plus three months of Nintendo Switch Online. The Switch 2 is a major upgrade from the original model, with a wider screen, magnetic Joy-Cons and 4K support, making it an even better buy. Trust me, I’ve owned every Nintendo Switch iteration since the console first launched.

Until now, Nintendo has paired the Switch 2 with select games, including Mario Kart World. This new bundle swaps that out for Nintendo Switch Sports Resort and throws in three months of Nintendo Switch Online, too.

Nintendo Switch 2 Sports Resort bundle price

The Nintendo Switch 2 + Nintendo Switch Sports Resort bundle costs $529.99 and includes the console, a digital copy of the game and three months of Nintendo Switch Online.

A Nintendo Switch 2 on its own costs $499.99, while Nintendo sells a digital copy of Nintendo Switch Sports Resort for $49.99 and a three-month Nintendo Switch Online membership for $7.99. Bought separately, that comes to $557.97, so the bundle saves you $27.98.

If you’re only interested in the game, Amazon currently has the physical edition for $59.68, while the digital version retails for $49.99 through Nintendo.

Nintendo Switch Sports Resort has easily become my favorite game since I first demoed it ahead of its launch. The game features 12 sports and activities, including the brand-new Thumb Wrestling game that is a hit with gamers.

I personally spent more time back with archery than I should have, drawing my hands back until I hit the bull’s-eye. I won’t lie, it took me a few tries before I got the hang of it.

Other games include Power Cruising, tennis, table tennis, basketball and more. Like the original game, you can play as your Mii, and while most games are the same, Thumb Wrestling and Skateboarding games set this one apart.

Sadly, there’s no skydiving, but the Prop Plane is back, and you can fly it around Wuhu Island in a leisurely fashion to find hidden balloons and such, just like the original.

Is the Nintendo Switch 2 Sports Resort bundle worth it?

If you already own a Nintendo Switch 2, you’re better off buying Nintendo Switch Sports Resort by itself for $49.99. But if you haven’t upgraded yet, the bundle is absolutely the better value.

You’re paying just $30 more than the $499.99 price of the console alone and getting a $50 game plus three months of Nintendo Switch Online.

Personally, though, the nostalgia factor makes it even more worth it for me. After years away from Wuhu Island, I can finally pick up a virtual bow and play archery with my dad again.

You can shop the Nintendo Switch 2 + Nintendo Switch Sports Resort bundle now or buy the game by itself, though we’d suggest acting fast because Nintendo says the bundle is available while supplies last.
