Center of Education Reform leader Jeanne Allen shared the tweet on Thursday, following an episode where the staff try to come up with a way to prevent Abbott from becoming a charter school.

“I’ll share it again. @quintabrunson is from West Philly and attended charter schools her entire education,” Jeanne wrote. “She reportedly loved it at the time, heaped praise on it. Once upon a time. Guess money talks.”

Quinta then responded, calling Jeanne "wrong and bad at research."

"I only attended a charter for high school," Quinta continued. "My public elementary school was transitioned to charter over a decade after I left. I did love my high school. That school is now defunct- which happens to charters often."

She then referred back to Jeanne's comment about how she "loved" attending charter schools at the time. "Loving something doesn’t mean it can’t be critiqued," Quinta wrote. "Thanks for watching the show :)"
@JeanneAllen you’re wrong and bad at research. I only attended a charter for high school. My public elementary school was transitioned to charter over a decade after I left. I did love my high school. That school is now defunct- which happens to charters often.
After the ordeal, Jeanne posted a tweet calling Quinta a "talented TV writer," but then she continued her criticisms: "Quinta peeved at my pointing out she attended charter schools while writing a show that consistently attacks. She quibbled with the facts. I responded."
