Nick Bosa has missed more than a month of action due to a calf strain.

But the 49ers star is tracking to return by San Francisco’s matchup against the Raiders on Nov. 8, general manager John Lynch said.

“He has got to go through the week of practice. He is tracking well to be back. The goal is to have him back and keep him back because he is a difference-maker when he’s on the field,” Lynch said during an appearance on KNBR Tuesday morning.

Bosa will have extra time to recover before facing Las Vegas amid the team’s bye week.

The 49ers look primed for a deep playoff run, so managing their needle-movers is key to maintaining success. At 6-1, San Francisco appears to be one of the NFC’s best teams, but its loss against the Falcons exposed several faults.

The 49ers will have to find ways to win without some of their best players. Quarterback Brock Purdy was without his top two wide receivers in Atlanta with Mike Evans and Deebo Samuel both sidelined.

At this time in the NFL season, injuries are plaguing just about every team, and San Francisco is no exception. However, as NFC West leaders, the 49ers have a target on their backs.

Given the team’s solid success to kick off the 2026 season, the front office will likely be active ahead of the Nov. 10 trade deadline to bolster the injury-riddled areas on the roster.
