Canelo Alvarez vs Christian Mbilli | Saturday, Oct. 31, 2026 | Kingdom Arena, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia | DAZN PPV
Mbilli (29-0-1, 24 KOs) walks in as the WBC super middleweight champion. Canelo (63-3-2, 39 KOs) walks in as the challenger for the first time since he moved up to fight Dmitry Bivol in 2022. The fight was originally set for Sept. 12 before a personal matter for Alvarez delayed it seven weeks, which means both fighters will have been out more than 13 months by the opening bell.
Canelo Has Something to Prove
The last time Canelo fought, Terence Crawford beat him by unanimous decision in Las Vegas. At 36, a second straight loss would raise real questions about how much he has left. He still brings 28 major title fights of experience into the ring, and his record in those fights is 25-3. Mbilli has never been on a stage close to this one.
Mbilli Has the Size
Mbilli is the bigger man, with about an inch of height and nearly two inches of reach on Canelo. He’s a pressure fighter with power, but his last outing was a split draw with Lester Martinez on the Canelo-Crawford undercard. Beating Canelo would turn a belt holder into the face of the division overnight.
Where the First Bet Cover Comes In
The moneyline isn’t the only way to play this fight. Method of victory and round props pay a lot more, and they’re harder to hit. That’s where a backstop on your first bet matters. Canelo by decision and by KO are priced the same, Mbilli by decision pays +450, and the total rounds line sits at 10.5. Take a bigger swing knowing BetMGM covers the loss up to $1,500.
