Former Chicago Cub Kyle Tucker has had a bit of a rough return to Wrigley Field this week.

Yes, he hit a home run on Tuesday, but he's otherwise been the subject of boos after he left the Cubs in the offseason and joined the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Outside of that homer on Tuesday and one nice catch in the outfield, Cubs fans have gotten a chance to enjoy Tucker's displeasure.

Two Bonks To the Head

Tucker had a pair of plays that could have left him concussed on Tuesday.

In one instance, he chased a hard-hit ball toward the right field wall, narrowly missing snagging it out of the air.

He did, however, collide with that wall pretty hard — and not the iconic ivy of the friendly confines.

No, he hit an advertisement dead-on.

And at the plate, he wasn't much luckier.

As he was setting up in the batter's box, Cubs catcher Miguel Amaya tried to throw the ball back to the pitcher, only for his throw to hit Tucker directly in the side of his helmet.

Tucker appeared OK, hanging his head for a moment before adjusting his helmet and assuring the umpire that he was fine to continue playing.

For his part, Amaya also appeared apologetic and tried to check on Tucker right after the incident.

Thankfully, Tucker appeared more surprised than hurt, and he stayed in the game.

He recorded a multi-hit game, including that second-inning solo home run, so perhaps he's righted the ship after a tough first half of the season with the Dodgers.

He's batting .240 on the season with nine home runs and 51 RBIs.

It's far below the standard Tucker had played at before.

He'd been named an All-Star in all four seasons before 2026, racking up a Golden Glove and two Silver Slugger awards in the process.
