Last week, Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert and pop star Madison Beer announced their engagement to the tune of 6.5 million Instagram likes, and the happy couple put their love on display for all to see at Chargers training camp at the University of San Diego on Tuesday, Aug. 4.

A Madison Beer fan account posted a video on X showing Beer and Herbert sitting on the field and gazing into each other's eyes while Beer strokes Herbert's hair:

Herbert has famously been a man of few words since entering the NFL as the No. 6 overall pick in 2020. In this instance, he doesn't need to say anything. That man is in love. As one X user put it, "Being in love wouldn't describe this. This like 3 levels above that."

Beer and Herbert first sparked dating rumors when Herbert visited Beer on set last August. They attended a Los Angeles Lakers game together in October, but neither publicly commented on their relationship until Herbert used his Instagram Story to gush about "my favorite person of all time" on Beer's birthday in March.

Herbert starred alongside Beer in her "Lovergirl" music video in May, and he skipped a voluntary Chargers workout to support Beer on tour later that month.

While Herbert is clearly winning off the field, he enters his seventh NFL season still seeking his first playoff win. The last we saw Herbert and the Chargers, they were thrashed thoroughly by the New England Patriots in the AFC wild card, and Herbert was sacked six times. The Chargers will begin their quest to snap their seven-year playoff drought when they host the Arizona Cardinals for Week 1 on Sunday, Sept. 13.
