The New Orleans Saints spent the offseason revamping their wide receiver corps.

The team drafted Jordyan Tyson with the eight overall pick in April’s draft, and they grabbed Bryce Lance in the fourth round and Barion Brown in the sixth round. New Orleans also signed undrafted free agent Brock Rechsteiner, the son of WWE Hall of Famer Scott Steiner.

But days into training camp, the Saints are down one of their rookie wideouts.

The NFL announced on Thursday it had suspended Rechsteiner for the first six games of the 2026 season, according to the league’s transaction wire. It’s not known exactly what his suspension is for.

New Orleans Saints WR Brock Rechsteiner

The 23-year-old Rechsteiner had a solid career at Jacksonville State. He caught 53 passes for 629 yards and seven touchdowns across 23 games. Rechsteiner can still practice with the Saints and play during the preseason, and his suspension starts once New Orleans cuts its roster down to 53 on Aug. 30.

Rechsteiner isn’t the only member of his family to dip his toes in the NFL waters.

His cousin, Bronson Rechsteiner, known as his ring name Bron Breakker in the WWE, signed as an undrafted free agent with the Baltimore Ravens in 2020 as a fullback. He lasted just a few months before being released.
