The New Orleans Saints offensive line took a big hit during their latest training camp practice. Head coach Kellen Moore revealed that veteran offensive lineman Dillon Radunz suffered a torn ACL, according to ESPN insider Adam Schefter.

Radunz, 28, joined the Saints on a one-year deal last offseason, and he went on to start 10 games for the team.

He allowed 23 total pressures in pass protection, including one sack and two hits allowed to opposing pass rushers, per Pro Football Focus. Radunz was also flagged for seven penalties over the course of the season.

That play earned him a new two-year contract with New Orleans this offseason, and he was expected to play a key role on the Saints' offensive line once again this season.

However, New Orleans will now have to rely on its other offensive linemen to fill Radunz's void, like David Edwards, Easton Kilty, Cesar Ruiz and Jeremiah Wright.

Radunz began his professional career as the No. 53 overall pick in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft by the Tennessee Titans. He made his first career start as a rookie at left tackle in Week 16 in place of starter Taylor Lewan.

He then entered the 2022 season as a backup guard behind Aaron Brewer and Nate Davis and appeared in 11 games at both guard spots due to injuries. Unfortunately, his 2022 campaign was cut short when he tore his ACL later that December.

In 2023, Radunz played 16 games with 11 starts. Then in 2024, he was named the starting right guard, but only finished the season with 15 starts after missing two games due to injury.

He played college football at North Dakota State, where he was named first-team FCS All-American and first-team All-MVFC in 2019.
