The UFC has not been announcing their big upcoming cards at the rate of knots that normally proceeds it at. Normally, the promotion announces the main event of a forthcoming numbered card two to three months in advance.
However, ahead of UFC 331; which is set to take place in Los Angeles on Sept. 19, one week after the ubiquitous UFC Noche fight night in Glendale, Arizona; the promotion had still not announced the main card with the event scheduled to be just over six weeks out.
But on Aug. 5, that changed, as the UFC shared on social media the 13 bouts that will feature on the card in LA.
UFC Flyweight Champion Joshua Van will rematch former champion Alexandre Pantoja after the Brazilian dislocated his elbow in the first round of the initial fight between the pair last December.
In the co-main event, top lightweight contender Arman Tsarukyan will face off against seventh-ranked Mauricio Ruffy, who is coming off two consecutive knockouts against ranked opponents, including Michael Chandler at the White House event, UFC Freedom 250.

Although the UFC has not announced which fights will be on the main card, one assumes that the other lightweight bout and rematch between Renato Moicano and Brian Ortega, the latter of whom is moving up from featherweight after persisting difficulties making weight, which most recently saw him end up in the emergency room prior to his loss to Aljamain Sterling back in August 2025.
There is also a good chance that the fight between Patricio Pitbull and the ever-thrilling Doo Ho Choi will also end up on the main card, and UFC CEO Dana White may well use the #5 fight slot to show off the talents of highly-touted, emerging heavyweight Gable Steveson as he takes on Sean Sharaf.
Other noteworthy fights include knockout specialist Iwo Baraniewski facing his first ranked opponent in Alonzo Menifield, having finished all three of his past UFC fights to-date in under 90 seconds, along with former bantamweight title contender Marlon Vera looking to get back on track with a win against Charles Jourdain after losing his last four fights, and five of his last six.
