New York Yankees star Jazz Chisholm Jr. is being connected to a team in the National League East.

In a recent article for Bleacher Report, Kerry Miller predicted that the Philadelphia Phillies will sign Chisholm to a six-year, $126 million contract in free agency this year.

"However, the Phillies arguably make the most sense here. Luis Arraez was a rental acquisition, both Alec Bohm and Edmundo Sosa are impending free agents and Bryson Stott has just one year of arbitration eligibility remaining on his contract. And with top infield prospect Aidan Miller yet to play in 2026 due to a back injury, goodness only knows when he'll be ready to factor into the equation, "Miller wrote. "Prediction: 6 years, $126M with the Philadelphia Phillies."

Seeing the Phillies be viewed as a potential landing spot for Chisholm is understandable. They could use an upgrade at the second base position, and Chisholm could provide them with just that if signed.

Furthermore, with the Phillies looking to remain contenders, it would make sense if they made a bold move by signing Chisholm. The two-time All-Star can be a real difference-maker when playing his best and could be a strong fit on the Phillies' roster because of it.

In 108 games this season with New York, Chisholm has recorded 17 home runs, 30 stolen bases, 47 RBIs, and a .215 batting average. This is after he set career highs with 31 home runs and 80 RBIs in 130 games last season with the Yankees. With numbers like these, he could be a very strong pickup for the Phillies if signed.
